You may be eligible for incentives including EV rebates, tax credits, and other benefits from BWP and other agencies.
Up to $500
BWP Residential EV Charger Rebate
BWP residential customers who install a Level 2 EV charger are eligible for a rebate up to $500.
Discounted Electric Rate
BWP EV Time-of-Use Rate
BWP currently offers a Time-of-Use rate only to residents that own one or more BEVs or PHEVs and charge at home.
Up to $1,000
BWP Used EV Rebate
Get up to $1,000 rebate from BWP for purchasing a pre-owned EV. The EV must be on the California Air Resources Board carpool sticker list and must be at least two years older than the year in which you make the purchase.

Federal Tax Credit
Tax credit for the purchase of a new plug-in electric drive motor vehicle. Credit amount depends on the car's battery capacity.
Up to $1,000
Federal Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Tax Credit
Customers who purchase qualified residential fueling equipment before December 31, 2021, may receive a tax credit of up to $1,000.

California Clean Vehicle Assistance Program
The Clean Vehicle Assistance Program provides grants and affordable financing to help low income Californians purchase a new or used plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) or battery electric vehicle (BEV). Some stacking restrictions apply with other California rebates. Cannot be stacked with grants from Replace Your Ride, Clean Cars for All, Drive Clean in the San Joaquin, or the Driving Clean Assistance Program.

California Clean Fuel Reward
A point-of-sale reward available to all California residents who purchase or lease of an eligible new Battery Electric (BEV) or Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) vehicle at participating retailers.

California Clean Vehicle Rebate
The California Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) offers rebates for the purchase or lease of qualified vehicles. Low income applicants are eligible for higher incentives.

California Vehicle Retirement Consumer Assistance Program
The Consumer Assistance Program provides $1,000 to $1,500 to support the retirement of old, polluting vehicles.
California High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Lane Exemption
Electric vehicles may use HOV lanes regardless of the number of occupants in the vehicle.
